Homework is to be expected in 4th grade. Each student has an assignment notebook that should be filled out daily. Please check it nightly to keep up with your child's activities and assignments. On days when there is no homework that needs to be turned in, there is still "standing homework" your child can work on. Math facts should be practiced - getting rid of the rust helps as we progress through our math curriculum. We also begin a computerized reading comprehension program in 4th grade. Reading nightly in an AR (Accelerated Reading) library book should be incorporated in schedules at home.
